2nd REGIONAL GLAUCOMA SYMPOSIUM WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION

We are delighted to announce the Second Regional Glaucoma Symposium, which will take place on April 17–18, 2026, at Sarajevo City Hall. This event will bring together leading glaucoma experts from the region and around the world, offering a unique opportunity to engage with the latest scientific insights and contemporary approaches to clinical practice. This year’s programme is distinguished by lecturers widely recognized as true leaders in modern glaucoma management, whose experience and expertise will be of great value to all participants—from residents in training to experienced ophthalmologists. As one of the most iconic landmarks of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sarajevo City Hall represents a place of strong historical and cultural identity, offering participants a distinctive setting that combines advanced scientific knowledge with an authentic and inspiring atmosphere.

We are also extremely proud that this year’s symposium carries an additional significance: it marks the 100th anniversary of the continuous ophthalmological tradition of Polyclinic “Dr. Sefić.” This milestone represents much more than a date—it symbolizes four generations of dedicated work, knowledge, learning, and the trust that patients have placed in our family and team. We believe that this long-standing commitment and passion for the profession is best celebrated through education and the shared exchange of knowledge, which is why we are especially pleased to commemorate this historic moment together with our colleagues.

In order to provide as many professionals as possible with access to contemporary knowledge, this year’s symposium will be free of charge and open to all residents and specialists who wish to learn, improve their skills, and connect with colleagues from across the region.

The symposium will be accredited by the Medical Chamber of the Canton of Sarajevo, awarding 10 CME points to speakers and 5 CME points to participants.

We invite you to be part of this important gathering, in a city that blends tradition with modern thought, and to join us in celebrating moments that will shape the future of glaucoma practice.

We look forward to meeting you and warmly welcoming you to Sarajevo on April 17–18, 2026.
